On Starting Again

I am writing these in order, one at a time, and posting them before I am sure of where they go. That is the whole experiment. I have a long history of finishing things only in my head, where they are safe and never quite wrong.

So: no buffer, no backlog, no second draft hiding the seams. A part appears when a part is ready. Some weeks that is often. Some weeks it is not. The title is a promise I am making to the gap between them — that the distraction is allowed to be sporadic, as long as it keeps arriving.

If you are reading this near the beginning, thank you for being early. If you are reading it from somewhere further along, then it worked, and there is more behind you than this, and I hope the water remembered where it was supposed to be.
